Barbara Stewart Keating, worked for Disney Stores

Barbara Stewart Keating, a nurse who launched a second career at Disney Stores, died Saturday after fighting breast cancer for eight years.

Mrs. Keating, 42, lived in Kenwood.

A graduate of the school of nursing at Christ Hospital, Mrs. Keating worked for the past nine years at Disney Stores and became very knowledgeable about the history of Disney, its movies, its products and trivia connected with the organization.

When the family returned to Cincinnati from Phoenix three years ago, she worked at the Disney Store in Kenwood.

''Barb was very proud of her association with Disney and felt that the Disney executives were very good to her during her illness,'' said her husband, Dan Keating. ''She just loved it,'' said her father-in-law, William J. Keating. ''She had a passion for Disney and was a Disney collector. She also had a passion for music and played piano, organ and flute.''

Mrs. Keating was also known for her creative children's parties.

In addition to her husband, she leaves three daughters, Emily, Marybeth and Nancy; parents Dr. John A. and Marian Stewart of Hamilton; and brothers John V. Stewart of Hamilton and Robert V. Stewart of Springfield, Ohio.

Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at George H. Rohde and Son Funeral Home, 3183 Linwood Ave., Mt. Lookout. Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday, All Saints Church, 8939 Montgomery Road, Kenwood.
