FREULER, Jeane Elizabeth Age 79 of Hamilton, passed away on September 7, 2005 at Vitas Hospice at Ft. Hamilton. She was born in Sandusky, OH on February 27, 1926 to the late George A. and Cora M. (Schramm) Roberts. Jeane, a member of the Phi Delta Kappa Education Honorary, received her B.S. in Business Education in 1949 from The Ohio State University. While at college she met her future husband, and in 1946 they won first place in the Jitter Bug contest at OSU. On August 20, 1949 in Sandusky she married Richard Felix Freuler. Mrs. Freuler was an educator for over 30 years; teaching her last 27 years at Wilson Junior High. She retired from education in 1990. She was a member of STRS, Life Member of OSU Alumni Association, Life Member of Hamilton Civic Theatre, AAUW and in particular its gourmet group. She was an avid bridge player, belonging to many different groups over the years. Jeane is survived by her husband of 56 years Richard Freuler of Hamilton; four children, Rick Freuler and his wife Justine of Worthington, Linda Freuler and her husband Stephen Walker of Hamilton, F. Theodore Freuler and his life partner Deborah Holtz of Columbus, and Robert Freuler and his wife Sandra of Woodlawn; eleven grandchildren, Christine Freuler and her fiancé T.J. Bowen, Mandy Lipps and her husband John, Adam, Liesl and Noah Koehler, Becky Walker, Matthew, Lorri and Sherri Whitacre, Bryan McMahan, and Allen Sellars; sister Mary Ann Weiser of Parkersburg, West Virginia; sister-in-law Marie Coppock and her husband Richard of Hollister, California and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law Felix and Helene Freuler and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Walker. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staffs of the Murphy Wing at Westover Retirement Community and the VITAS Hospice at Fort Hamilton Hospital for all their care and support. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday September 12, 2005 at the Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Ross Ave. at South "D" Street, with Mrs. Freuler's son-in-law Stephen Walker officiating. Burial will follow at the Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
